Tony Slattery – Unrehearsable

Friday 5th July, 3.00pm, Main Stage
All tickets £5

Former has-been Tony Slattery is back from the dead, bringing his unique take on a variety show to the Edinburgh Fringe this August.

Currently a monthly residency show at 81 Renshaw Street, Liverpool, Unrehearsable offers a special insight into Tony’s life, career and the demons that continue to dog his footsteps. As well as interviews from close friend Erica Lear and comedy historian Robert Ross there will be improv, Q&As, and lots of laughs, and we guarantee that no two shows will ever be the same. Expect the unexpected from the man whom AA Gill once described as “The most dysfunctional personality of the twentieth century” – eat your heart out, Stalin!

Tony will be presenting Unrehearsable with his improv partner Allan Lear (“A truly gifted improviser” – Chortle) from 13 to 28 August in Stand 3, York Place, at 15.00.

“Charismatic…a blithely uninhibited Lord of Misrule…erudite old git…” – The Guardian

“A legend.” – Jay Richardson, Chortle

“Kind while taking the mick, somehow vulnerable and wired…incredibly witty” – The York Press

“Strange but entertaining” –

“Tony, compared to you we are worms. Worthless worms.” – Omid Djalili
